Announcing The CAYA Coalition
Substance Use Prevention Grant

Since 2016, the CAYA Coalition has raised funds, primarily through its signature Run for Your Life 5K event each fall and uses those funds to help support prevention efforts in the five-county region.

Some of the past CAYA grant recipients include Piedmont CRUSH, Sex, Drugs and God, Inc., After Prom Parties, Team Jordan, Living the Dream, Mental Health Association of Fauquier County, Oxford House of Cottonwood, and Verdun Adventure Bound.

We look forward to hearing from new efforts that can benefit from a CAYA grant for their programming. Access the grant application and eligibility requirements here.

Bobby DJ Spinning Music, Come As You Are (CAYA) Addiction support and treatment resource

A message from founder Moira Satre

When we were struggling with our son Bobby’s addiction, we felt lost and alone. We were overwhelmed with information on the internet and wished someone would have handed us a list of reputable treatment facilities and available resources. The stigma of drug addiction made it difficult to talk openly with friends and even family. Following Bobby’s death, we sought to create this service for others.
